Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham Chef who wanted Elaine Benes shoes. Barone was part of the crew of Carol & Company in early 1990s, alongside the actress Carol Burnett. Barone was also the ex-wife of Carol Willick Ross Geller when she made her debut appearance in Friends. The show ended her time as she was looking for a more full-time role she was replaced by Jane Sibbett. Barone was a guest on The Jeff Foxworthy Show in its first season (from 1995-1996), and then on The War at Home between 2005 until 2007.
